Superplasticizers
Superplasticizers
Superplasticizers are a category of concrete additives added to the concrete mixture consisting of polymers, polyphenol derivatives, and inhibitors to improve the concrete properties. They work to reduce the surface tension of water in the concrete mix to allow water to spread and cover the cement particles better. Superplasticizers are characterized by delaying the setting and hardening time and improving the workability of concrete, making it easy to pour and distribute without adding water. They also increase the strength of concrete to withstand pressures and various environmental factors because they reduce the amount of water and prevent the formation of air spaces inside the concrete. Ichem manufactures high-quality superplasticizers, most of which are chloride-free to avoid negative effects on reinforcing steel. They also enhance the finishing process, thereby reducing the cost of additional finishing work for clients in their projects.
